Could Anime Become Extinct?

When we think of things that are extinct, we think of animals. We think of dodo birds, random Amazonian insects and dinosaurs. It is possible for inanimate objects, ideals or social movements to become extinct. Anime could very well be on its way out. Even if it doesn't completely disappear, it may become nothing but big-boobed girls in shoe-string bikinis (There is too much of that already. A little of that is okay).
